What happens to my SiteBuilder site if I alter my PWP space using FrontPage or FTP?

0

If you have created a site with SiteBuilder and published it to your PWP space, then SiteBuilder has created some files in your PWP space such as pictures (JPGs) and Web pages (HTML). If you then connect to your PWP space with FrontPage or FTP, you could potentially delete or modify these pages. You might want to do this to add content to your site that is more advanced than can be created with SiteBuilder, but be careful, because these changes will not be replicated back into SiteBuilder itself! If the wosrt happens and you delete all the content in your PWP space using FTP or FrontPage, then your SiteBuilder site is still safe. When you click “Save” in SiteBuilder, your site is saved outside of the PWP. Publishing is then just a transfer of this site from SiteBuilder to the PWP. Therefore, if you do delete your PWP site, simply log back in to SiteBuilder and publish it again!
