In a November 1999 referendum, UBC students voted to adopt their own health and dental plan. That decision was strongly supported in a second referendum in February 2001. Who’s covered? All AMS and GSS members who pay AMS fees for the Health & Dental Plan are automatically enrolled, including full-time and part-time students, international students, and those auditing a course. What if I’m a Co-op student? • If you’re a Co-op student away on a work term in September, or for the full year, you’re not automatically enrolled. You can enroll by contacting studentcare.net/works within the Change-of-Coverage Period or you may be automatically enrolled if you return to class in January. See the Change-of-Coverage Period deadlines (for opt outs and enrolments) below. • If you’re taking classes in September and pursuing a work term, you’re covered for the full year (from Sept. 1, 2004 to Aug. 31, 2005) and assessed the fee in September. • Co-op students will need to obtain a letter from their C
