What happens to my existing purchase with Bitbucket?
Starting Sept 28, 2010, Bitbucket customers will see all new user-based pricing with unlimited repositories. Current Bitbucket users will have the option to move to a new pricing tier or be “grandfathered” into their current plans for twelve months. We are emailing anyone with a registered account on Bitbucket.org to notify them of their options. The new pricing plan includes a tier for free accounts. Customers with fewer than 5 users associated with their private repositories will be automatically rolled into the new 5-user free plan. Customers with more than 5 users have been “grandfathered” to the closest user level tier that accommodates their private repositories, at their existing subscription cost for as long as they stay on the same user level. If they choose to change user subscription levels, the new pricing model will apply to all future transactions.
