What happens to my BT Yahoo mail when I switch to a different broadband?

Your BT Yahoo e-mail should stay active. I changed from BT Yahoo to O2 several months ago now. I can still fully access my old BT mail account by logging in to the web mail page. I can also still recieve BT POP3 mail through Outlook Express but I can no longer send BT POP3 mail through Outlook Express.
