What happens to my B-W merit scholarship if I do not obtain the required minimum grade point average?

When you receive your initial scholarship letter, you are informed that you must maintain a certain minimum grade point average (GPA) in order to have your scholarship renewed each year. If you fail to obtain the required GPA at the end of the fall semester, you will be notified that you are in danger of losing your scholarship if you are unable to attain the required academic standard by the start of the new academic year. If the required GPA is not achieved by the beginning of the next academic year and the student has justifiable circumstances for the shortfall, then a letter of appeal may be sent to the financial aid office. Each appeal will be carefully reviewed, as to whether the reasons stated are sufficient to allow for the restoration of the scholarship, and a decision will be made regarding renewability. If the scholarship is lost, then it cannot be renewed.
