What Happens to Files Deleted From the Recycle Bin?
The Windows Recycle Bin is Microsoft’s main fail-safe device for preventing the deletion of files or programs you didn’t want deleted. Typically, when most files are “deleted,” they’re sent to the Recycle Bin and can be recovered easily. When files are deleted from the Recycle Bin (when the Bin is “emptied”), they are supposedly deleted permanently–but recovery is still possible in a few cases.
