What happens to cardiac output with increased inspiratory effort and then with increased expiratory effort?

This has to do with the Frank-Starling mechanism. I am thinking you would have increased cardiac ouput with inspiration and decreased cardiac ouput with expiration due to how the diaphragm is applying or not applying pressure on the heart. But I could use a little help confirming my conclusion.
