What happens to ACG, SMART, and TEACH Grant programs under the new bill?
The current bill does not make any changes to the ACG, SMART, or TEACH Grant programs. However, the ACG and SMART Grant programs had a sunset date at the end of the 2010-11 year. The Obama Administration has made it clear that they intend to allow the ACG and SMART Grant programs to expire as previously scheduled. There are no changes to the TEACH Grant program.
