First let me clear this up. Not all Pet Stores get their puppies from Puppy mills. Puppy Mills are a BAD thing..I’m totally against them! I work at a pet store, we only buy our puppies from local breeders and have the papers to prove to our customers that they are local puppies because all of our puppies are registered! We only get in small breed puppies so they dont outgrow their kennel. Usually get our puppies in at 6-8 weeks. If they don’t sell by 4 months old we drop the price way down. My boss will go as far as droppin down to 50 bucks just so the dog gets a good home. We have never had the problem of a dog not selling at all. Now, pet stores that DO get their dogs from puppy mills….most of the time they trade them back in to a puppy mill because they dont care and most puppy mill puppies are inbred with health problems anyway.
