What happens regarding updating of Cochrane reviews that are referenced in an Overview?
Review updating would follow the usual process, but the Overview would then need to be updated whenever there was a substantive update to any of the underlying reviews. Authors of Overviews would be asked to take responsibility for updating their Overview whenever any of the underlying reviews changed. Mechanisms will be needed to notify Overview authors whenever this happens. While in the process of being updated, the existing Overview would remain in The Cochrane Library with a note to the effect that one of the underlying reviews had been updated and that the Overview was in the process of being updated.
