What happens on any given Saturday?
Arrive ready to have fun. In the summer, arrive 15 minutes early prior to your start time. In the winter, arrive at the designated time indoors. Talk with your coaches and discuss your training issues. Go out with your coach and group, and finish with stretching and a seminar topic. This is a typical Saturday morning, often times including free massage and access to physical therapists and other professionals. It’s all about the relationships you build during a structured training program. We enjoy meeting afterwards for coffee too.
You will meet with your color group for your scheduled run or walk. Groups will start at differen times (posted on the website or included in weekly newsletters) so that all groups are back at approximately the same time. Once all groups are back, the seminar will be presented. After the seminar, coaches are available for questions and discussions.
We run or walk with our groups before each seminar. The seminar will start at 8:00 am every Saturday, so our goal is to have all the color groups finished before 8:00 am every Saturday. After the seminar we usually meet with our color groups for a few minutes to talk with the coaches, ask questions, make plans for the next week, etc. Before the weekend, you will be given the starting time for your color group (available on the website and on our hotline).
We meet at the specified time which will be available on-line and on our printed season schedules. Please arrive a few minutes early to sign-in. We then break into our color groups, get a few updates from our color group coach and do some light stretches, then run the prescribed mileage for that day. After the run, we will hold a 15-20 min seminar with a different topic / speaker each week. These too will be listed on our schedule.
