Jasper attacks Bella out of instinct and Edward decides it is too dangerous and therefore he leaves her. Bella is a wreck and she won’t go out and live a normal life. She hangs out with Jacob Black because he makes her laugh. While hanging out With him they do activities that put Bella in danger. For example, riding a motorcycle, walking alone in the woods and getting seen by Laurent (very important plot point in book 4 to remember) and wanting to go diving off a cliff. Bella discovers anytime she is in danger she hears Edwards voice telling her to stop being reckless. She doesn’t want the voice to stop and she believes that if she is in real danger not only will she hear his voice but he just might come back to rescue her.
