What happens in June?
Enrollees gather in Watertown for three days of intense work. We have a guest presenter speak to the entire group about general topics in music philosophy and biblical music programs. Everyone has time to browse through library materials, read articles (and if you stay up late, maybe an entire book) and talk about music around the breakfast, lunch and dinner table. We sing together. We get to finish the long days with Evensong, special song service programs you are free to use in your own church. We spend a lot of time in our specialties. Pastors come to see just exactly what it is that their musicians do—and to plan improvement and steps of growth for their church’s music. Hymn-players come to improve their transpositions (or learn their transpositions!) and improvisations. Arrangers come to concentrate on arranging and learn how to write for instrument combinations they have in their own church. Song-leaders practice basic and advanced skills (depending on their level) and spend a lo
