What Happens In Blackpool In The Early Autumn?
Well, lots of things but one of the major tourist events of the late summer season in Blackpool is the illuminations. Blackpool is unique in that it sets up a vast number of illuminated panels and lights as a tourist attraction to tempt people to visit at the end of the summer season. The lights are amazing and run for a length of five to six miles along the road that runs down the sea front. It is possible to walk the whole way but it is tough on the feet. The illuminations follow several themes and run from Lytham St Annes, past the Pleasure Beach, a vast theme park full of death defying rids, including the Pepsi Max, an awesome, awful roller coaster, along past the Golden Mile and the Blackpool Tower and right up the Bishpam on the North Beach. The illuminations run from the end of September and they end just at Bonfire Night on the 5th of November.
