What happens in areas where temperatures are consistently low?
Despite its external thermal insulation, even an iQ Battery will assume a lower temperature over time in areas where environmental temperatures are perennially low. Nonetheless, once the engine has been started the heater will warm the battery up to +20 degrees Celsius effecting better charge acceptance and rapid recharging. The right temperature not only makes the chemical process much gentler on the battery, it also gives it a consistently higher state of charge. This in turn ensures the battery has a high cold-cranking capacity at all times.
