What happens in an Electricity Blackout and why?
During a blackout the inverter will shut-down the supply of the solar power to the electricity grid. The primary reason for this is to protect lines workers who are attending the grid fault. It is mandatory that all inverters under Australian Standard AS4777 disconnect during a power outage. Your inverter will switch back on automatically once the mains electricity supply is restored.
