What happens in a worship service at First Baptist Denison?
Throughout the service, we will sing several songs. You can sit or stand, sing or listen, participate as much or as little as you choose. Don’t worry if you don’t know the words, it took us all a little while to learn. After some singing, we will have an offering. This time simply allows our church members to share with the church financially. It is a way to thank God for his blessings in our lives. If you are just visiting, please do not feel like you have to contribute. All we want from you is your connection card (attached to your bulletin) so we can stay in touch. The main part of our worship service is a time of practical teaching from the Bible. Our aim is to present Biblical truth that is relevant in our modern culture. At the end of the service, we will have a time of invitation. This just means we are inviting you to come down to the front for prayer, to join our church, or just to get some counsel from a pastor.
