A comprehensive eye examination begins with a brief review of your health history. The examination continues with an evaluation of your need for eyeglasses, checks the ability of your eyes to work together, and assesses the overall health of your eyes. Eyedrops are used halfway through the examination to dilate your pupils for a more thorough health and eyeglass evaluation, as well as to assess the pressure within your eyes.
