What happens if u Tear during Normal Delivery?
Please don’t request an episiotomy. Most doctors are actually not doing them anymore anyway because they have been found to be dangerous and mostly unnecessary. An episiotomy can easily lead to a more severe tear than you would have had otherwise, and here’s the reason- Take a washcloth and try to rip it in half. Doesn’t work. Cut a little slit into it and THEN try to tear it. It rips easily, as can your perineal area. Stage 3 and 4 tears are statistically more common in women getting an episiotomy than those who go without. Do not worry about the size of your baby VS your size. Not only are our vaginas and pelvises designed to make way, the baby’s skull is also moldable and will compress to come through. We’re designed perfectly to give birth. About 1/3 of deliveries result in a tear, and the *vast* majority of those are stage 1 or 2 which are easily repairable.The more serious tears involving the rectum or muscle tissue are pretty darn rare and not something you sould anticipate at a
