Silverstar’s own caching and locking mechanism takes care of this. When you want to look at any data, it is first downloaded to your PC if you don’t already have it or it is out of date. It is then “locked” so that no one else can change it at the same time (sometimes this only happens when you actually decide to make a change). When you finish making your change and leave the screen the new version of the data is uploaded back to the “central” database that everyone uses and the lock removed. When anyone else looks at this item later, Silver-Owl will detect that it has changed and give them the new version.
