What happens if theres a software crash during competition?
Everyone freaks out! Just kidding. When a competitor gets hit with technical difficulties, we stop the clock and pause competition until everyone is ready to proceed again. In the spirit of fair play, if some competition time elapsed before the problem could be addressed, the crash victim will be provided “make-up time,” during which he/she can resume work for the amount of time lost. After that, the competition picks up where it left off.
