What happens if there is unacceptable material in my GreenCart?
If your GreenCart contains unacceptable materials, such as regular plastics or other garbage, it will not be collected. You will be responsible for removing the unacceptable materials. A notice will be left explaining why the GreenCart was not collected. The quality of the final compost is dependent on what goes into the GreenCart. Unacceptable material results in higher processing costs and lowers the quality of the compost.
