What happens if the reader is overpowered or underpowered?

0

Overpowering a reader (by providing more voltage that it can handle) can fry the MV1200 microcontroller within the unit. Underpowering a reader (by providing less voltage or current that it requires) can corrupt the data stored in the reader’s flash memory (i.e. fingerprint templates, unit configuration settings, transaction log, etc.). In either case the reader will need to be returned to Bioscrypt for repair and reconfiguration.
