What happens if the prospective donor does not pass her medical or psychological screening?
Although rare, if a donor does not pass her screenings, then she is removed from our program and prospective parents have two options. Prospective parents may choose another donor in our program and apply 100% of the paid agency fee toward the agency fee for the new donor (valid for 6 months), or they may choose to withdraw from our program altogether. If a new donor is not chosen from our program then prospective parents will receive a refund of any fees remaining in the trust account (less certain expenses), as outlined specifically in our Refund Policy. Unfortunately, it is impossible for us to guarantee that a donor will pass her screenings so we can not reimburse prospective parents for the professional or travel costs already incurred for those screenings. Please download our Detailed Fee Information for details regarding our Refund Policy.
