What happens if the National Partnership Agreement is not finalised in time to allow payment to government schools?

0

Grant payments cannot be made to government schools until the National Partnership Agreement is in place. As a result the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency and state and territory education agencies will be actively working together to finalise this agreement as quickly as possible In order to minimise delays, in 2010-11 the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency will assess all applications for funding from government and non-government schools. From 2011-12 onwards, it is anticipated that for government schools this activity will be undertaken by state agencies.
