What happens if the meter or pay & Display machine is out of order?
If the meter is out of order where Pay by Phone parking is available then you must pay by phone in order to park in that space, otherwise you must move your vehicle to another space where a functional meter or Pay and Display machine is available. If the Pay and Display machine is out of order where Pay by Phone parking is available, you can either choose to pay by phone or look for a nearby machine (within the same parking zone and tariff band). If no alternative machine is available, you must pay for your parking by phone or move your vehicle to another space where a functional meter or Pay and Display machine is available.
