What happens if the House of lords does not pass a bill?
Legislation is a major function of the House of Lords. It spends about two thirds of its time revising Bills sent from the House of Commons. Indeed it is often referred to as a ‘revising chamber’. HOL cannot ammend or iniate money bills Th house of Lords can vote no for a bill by sending admendments to the House of Commons. The House of Commons will vote for this bill.
