What happens if the EGGER P5 boards get wet?

0

P5 board is moisture resistant but should not be allowed to get wet as such. Should the board get wet it may cause swelling of the board but once dried out the board should return almost to its former dimensions, the strength of the board will only be slightly impaired (ageing the board by approximately 5 years). If you are concerned about the board properties or if a heavy load is intended to be put on top of the board we recommend putting an overlay of 4mm plywood to strengthen the board. If an uneven surface has resulted, up to 1mm may be sanded off the boards to help obtain a level surface, however sanding more than 1mm will affect the strength of the board considerably.
