What happens if the defendant fails to appear?
A. Most of the time when this happens its due to a mistake. Either the defendant forgot his or her court date or maybe their vehicle broke down on the way to court. In cases such as this, dont panic, call us and we can reinstate the bond with the court. If for some reason the defendant knowingly failed to appear, the court sends us a notice of forfeiture. We began trying to get in touch with the defendant so that the matter can be rectified as soon as possible.
