It will be appropriate for the Principal to indicate the identity of any consultants, contractors or suppliers for which the Principal intends to require their contracts to be novated to the Contractor. In this way the Contractor can make objection before entering into the Contract. If the Principal did not indicate the identity of specified Principal s consultants, contractors or suppliers at or prior to the Date of Contract then the Contractor would still have an obligation to enter into the novated contract but clearly this would not be desirable if the Contractor then raised an objection to the consultant contractor or supplier.
