Freezing can damage the colloidal suspension. If a colloidal suspension is allowed to freeze,the suspended particles may precipitate and fall to the bottom. If the color has changed to clear like water after thawing then the colloid is irreversibly damaged. If the color is normal, then the colloid is OK.
