An SLO violation occurs when the performance of a workload does not meet the workload’s SLO. When such a violation happens, HP-UX WLM triggers an EMS event. You can create EMS notifications based on such events to notify a system administrator. The administrator can then determine whether the SLO should be relaxed so that it can be met with the current CPU allocation or if the workload should be granted more CPU resources to meet the current SLO.
