What happens if something goes wrong with the programme or the system crashes or there is a power cut?

If the power is only off for a short period (two minutes) the test will automatically re-start in the same place once power is reinstated. If the power is off for any longer or the system crashes there are procedures in place to apply for a special exemption to void the test.
