Within 90 seconds in Canada, (200 sec. in the US), the NMC will display the suite number of the missing device. As well, within 4 minutes of being unplugged and with no communications taking place, the ISD will start chirping a trouble alert signal. The ISD membrane switch then becomes a shut-off for the unit so that the battery does not drain while it is unplugged.
