What happens if my smartpass does not work?
• Each smartpass has a lithium battery. If the battery dies, a resident can purchase a new smartpass from Southern States Management for $40.00 (please bring the old smartpass for deletion). The designated location for the smartpass is just below the vehicle’s rear view mirror; however please read the vehicle users manual for designated “safe zones.” The smartpass is not intended to be hand-held. Repeated gate access problems occur when the smartpass is not mounted on the vehicle.
