What happens if my remote control sectional garage door closes and hits an immoveable obstruction?

If any such obstruction is spotted then the door automatically reverses its direction! This is known as auto-reverse and all the technical mumbo-jumbo behind it is explained in the owner’s manual (so you can read up on all the details and then dazzle your friends!)
