What happens if my health needs require long-term skilled nursing care? Are there plans to build a health care center (nursing home) within CHRISTUS Village?
CHRISTUS Village’s Assisted Living program will be able to serve a very high level of health needs beginning the day the community opens. In addition, hospice services will be available, if needed. Future plans for traditional skilled nursing services are still being evaluated. Some options under consideration include development of a separate greenhouse-style skilled nursing program on campus and renovation of a portion of the Assisted Living building into skilled health care. CHRISTUS Village residents will also benefit from the support of CHRISTUS St. Patrick Hospital’s medical services for their more acute health needs.
