What happens if my child is injured while on an Exchange or RVC Educational Tour?
The Group Organizer or Host Family will immediately seek appropriate medical care and will then contact you and SEVEC to explain what has happened. Any costs related to medical care will be paid on-site by the Group Organizer and most organizations will expect the family to reimburse the Group Organizer. The Group Organizer is responsible for obtaining all paperwork that will assist you in making a claim with your Provincial /Territorial Health Plan and, if necessary, SEVEC’s medical insurance.
