What happens if my child is ill during his/her stay or can’t come due to illness?

If your child becomes unwell during their stay a member of management will immediately telephone the parent or carer to advice of the illness. If it is felt that the child needs to be seen by a Doctor we would expect the parent or carer to collect the child/young person and seek medical advice through their G.P. No un-prescribed medication will be administered. Infectious Diseases Chicken Pox or Measles are classed as infectious diseases; under no circumstances should a child/young person be brought to the home if you think they have caught any infectious diseases. This would help us to prevent the spread of infection. We ask that a parent or carer contact the office as soon as possible to notify us that the child/young person will not be attending. If the child/young person is unwell when a placement has been arranged, please contact the office as soon as possible to inform a member of staff, we will then arrange for an alternative date to be offered in line child/young person’s recov
