What happens if my candidates want to draw a comparison between the AS work and the new work theyve done – will they be penalised?
It depends how much they refer to it! A passing reference to draw a contrast might be helpful in demonstrating understanding and contextualisation. Constant references to previous study will NOT be credited, though, since it is likely to reduce the amount of time available for discussion of the pieces studied at A2.
