What happens if merging my existing account-based Buddy List with my AIM Buddy List creates a combined Buddy List with more than 160 buddies?
Your Buddy List is limited to a total of 160 buddies. For those AOL Instant Messenger users who have multiple Buddy Lists on different AOL brand services, we will combine those lists into one list which you can access from any computer. If the merged list is longer than 160 names, the extra names from your AIM list will not be added to the list. For your reference, we will also save each individual list into a text file on this computer, located on your desktop. The file will be named:
