What happens if I withdraw from a course at the University of Oxford but have received US financial Aid? Would there be a refund?
First, you must contact the US Loans Team at Oxford if you drop below half-time enrolment status or withdraw. If you receive financial aid and then withdraw from your course or drop below the half-time enrolment requirement, we must first determine whether any of the refund money must be returned to the US Federal Aid Programme. These funds must be returned in the following order: 1. Federal Stafford Unsubsidized 2. Federal Stafford Subsidized 3. Federal PLUS Pro-rated refund calculations apply for any US student who is attending the University of Oxford, and who withdraws before 60% of the loan has been disbursed. If the University of Oxford is required to pay money on your behalf to the US Department of Education as a result of your early withdrawal, you may be required to repay that money to the University of Oxford.
