What happens if I set up a payment but do not have sufficient funds in my account on the “send date” or “process date?
If, on the “send date” or “process date,” there is an insufficient balance in your checking account (including any overdraft protection you may have linked to your checking account) to make a payment you have authorized, we will delay the payment and try again on the next Business Day. If there is still an insufficient balance to cover the full amount of the payment on the next Business Day, we will once again delay the payment and try a third time on the following Business Day. If, after 3 attempts to debit the amount of the payment, there is still an insufficient balance to make the payment, we may either refuse to pay the item, or we may make the payment and overdraw your checking account. In either event, you will be responsible for any non-sufficient funds (“NSF”) or overdraft charges we may impose.
