If you are away from work on a paid leave of absence (Short Term Disability/Workers’ Compensation/Military/Part-time Disability) at the end of a calendar year, and return to work in the next calendar year, you may request credit for the accrued, unused PTO balance from the calendar year in which the leave began. If you are away from work on a paid leave of absence (Short Term Disability/Workers’ Compensation/Military/Part-time Disability), return to work prior to the end of the calendar year, and do not have a reasonable opportunity to use accrued PTO prior to December 31, you may request credit for the balance. Requests must be submitted in writing by your manager via e-mail to the Leave Administration Mailbox (leaveadministration@cna.com) and must include the reason you did not have a reasonable opportunity to use the PTO prior to the end of the calendar year.
