What happens if I misplace my NetID and password?
Because your NetID and password grant access to information protected by federal privacy laws, we cannot convey IDs and passwords by e-mail, telephone, or fax. If you forget your NetID, you can search for it in the Cornell Electronic Directory, or contact the Cornell HelpDesk at (607) 255-8990 or helpdesk@cornell.edu. If you forget your password, you will have to contact the Cornell HelpDesk. As you create your password, you will have the opportunity to put in place a mechanism that will allow you to receive a password reminder if you should forget it.
