What happens if I do not meet at least 7 of the 9 standards of the Iowa Professional Core?
• If you do not meet 7 of the 9 you will not be eligible for a license. • You will receive a deficiency letter showing what requirements you did not meet through portfolio review. If you remediate all deficiencies with credits from two and four year regionally approved institutions you will be eligible to apply for a regular Iowa teaching license.
