What happens if I do not contact BoA to collect my credit balance?
Credit Balances not claimed prior to 29 Nov 2008 will be mailed out to the address listed in EAGLS. If this address is incorrect, the Post Office will not forward a check, the check will be returned to BoA. BoA will then issue a check to the state treasury of the last state in which the cardholder resided. This is why it is very important to keep your POC information updated throughout the transition.
