What happens if DHL accepts an Excess Size shipment?
If an Excess Size shipment is mistakenly accepted for transportation and then found to be Excess Size at the local shipping service center, the package will be returned to the shipper the following business day. In the event that an Excess Size package enters DHL’s network, the shipment will be transported through the network until the package reaches it’s final destination. The customer will be charged with applicable Excess Size fees.
