What happens if, despite the filters, students are able to access materials restricted under CIPA?
The FCC does not require that the filtering software schools and libraries select be foolproof. Schools and libraries are required to engage in a good faith effort to abide by the requirements of CIPA. Although it is not required, it is a good idea to review the accuracy of the product you select and upgrade if necessary on a regular basis.
