What happens if both the lead pilot and wingman crash?
A. The normal rules apply. The baton holder (the lead pilot or, in the event of a wingman transfer, the wingman) may declare a restart in which he returns to the original airport and restarts the flight. The original baton timing continues. Alternatively the baton holder may abort the flight, thus returning the baton to the original airport for another pilot to claim and advance.
